I really don’t think about my weight, and I am not controlled by cravings. I don’t eat a lot of sugar, and I find it pretty easy to balance my nutrition based upon what my body needs. But wait... read on...
It wasn’t always that way…
I spent many years thinking (literally) moment by moment about weight, food, and cravings. I was addicted to simple carbs like bread and sugar, and I did not know how to balance my eating to sustain my hunger throughout the day.
Sugar controlled my life!
From the time I was 14, I would starve and binge until I felt like I was going crazy – with no hope – and no answers – only blame, shame, and guilt. I was an emotional "stress wreck" and a slave to food.
Definitely not the best life ever!
I thought that life would never change… but then it did. At first...I couldn't believe that the answer could be that simple. The solution came when I talked to a trusted friend. They helped me find balance and consistency with my eating and gave me encouragement and support. I learned how to feed my body the way it needed to be fed and the cravings went away!
Today, I live free from the control that food had on me. My thoughts and emotions are balanced and focused. I am free to think about things that truly matter instead of focusing inward on myself and my failures. My days are filled with energy and vitality- creating the life that I want to have.
Over the years, I've gained a deeper understanding and compassion for those who struggle with addictions and cravings. It is one of the reasons why I trained to be a health coach. I love helping clients create a personalized “road map” that fits their unique body and lifestyle, and leads to a life of healthy transformation.
